Cost of living support this Christmas

Residents who find themselves experiencing significant financial pressures can apply to access the Willaston Charity Fund. A small number of grants are available for those who live on the historic Township of Willaston boundary. The Fund exists to 'provide gifts for the deserving poor of the Township of Willaston and also through the Sarah Jane Wood Charity to 'Provide gifts for the deserving poor every Christmas Eve'. 

Cllr Craig Bailey and Cllr Keith Ward who are the Administrating Trustees said "We are aware that the cost of living crisis will have significant financial impacts on some residents here in Willaston. Through the Willaston Charity Fund we want to ensure that there is some support available locally, especially so at Christmas and during the winter months. We encourage residents who feel they would be eligible to apply for a small grant".
